Died. & sworn upon oath before those present that Guy FOSTER knight who freeholds 2 acres of land in Bozeat at rent of 4 pence per annum after the last court died, and William FOSTER Armiger is son and heir to the aforesaid Guy and takes the freehold upon payment of 8 pence relief to the Lord of the Manor. But the said William did not pay the relief and the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues.(distraint)
And that William FOSTER Armiger freeholder of 2 acres from the Lord of this Manor at rent of 4 pence per annum, since the last court sold the 2 acres to a certain William SEREDGE and he should pay 8 pence relief & because he did not pay the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues.
It is presented that Richard CHILD gent who held 47 acres acres of land at rent of 13 pence & one halfpenny, since the last court has died & that by his last will and testament the tenancy passes to Alexander ORLIBEARE son of George ORLIBEARE gent, who is aged about 5 years.
It is presented that Thomas DOBBS freeholder of 30 acres of land from the Lord of this Manor at rent of 2 pence, after the last court died and that his brother Philip DOBBS is the next heir when he pays to the Lord a relief of 4 pence, but the said Philip did not pay the relief and the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues. It is presented that Philip DOBBS freeholder of 30 acres of land from the Lord of this Manor, at rent of 2 pence per annum since the last court has sold the same to a certain Thomas HULL and relief of 4 pence is due to the Lord, but the said Thomas did not pay & the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues. It is presented that Thomas HULL who holds 30 acres from the Lord of this Manor at rent of 2 pence per annum, since the last court has sold the same to a certain Thomas BLETSOE and relief of 4 pence is due to the Lord but the said Thomas BLETSOE did not pay and the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues. It is presented that Richard DOBBS freeholder of 18 acres of land from the Lord of this Manor, at rent of 2 pence per annum, since the last court sold the said land to George ORLIBEARE gent, and 4 pence relief is due to the Lord, but the said George did not pay and the Bailiff is to take goods to raise the dues. (distraint)
Sworn before those present that William BLOTT freeholder of 2 cottages & 22 acres of land at rent of 4 pence halfpenny, since the last court sold them to a certain Thomas BLOTT and 9 pence relief is due to the Lord but the said Thomas did not pay.
And that Thomas BLOTT freeholder of 22 acres from the Lord of this Manor at rent per annum of 4 pence halfpenny, has died since the last court and the land was sold to a certain Thomas HULL and he to pay 9 pence relief to the Lord but the said Thomas HULL did not pay & the Bailiff to take goods to raise the dues. And sworn before those present, upon oath, that the aforesaid Thomas HULL broke the common pound and is fined 6s 8d.

Presented that Henry MELDBURY sought grain & barley from the Duchy of Lancaster in the hundred of Higham Ferrers to be ground by the mill & his own mill without (outside) the Duchy & that he himself carried away beforehand the same grinding to the damage of the mills of the Lord King & is against ancient privilege fined 13s.4d.

Presented that Henry PARTRIDGE jun. himself went upon the common of Bozeat with cows against the orders of this court fined 5s. 0d.
Presented Robert BETTLE & Joel HULL for similar fined 5s. 0d.
Presented Thomas CLEATON, Joel HULL, Thomas CHAPMAN, Thomas FORSBURY, & Thomas DAVY, that themselves with their own horses went upon the cow pasture of Bozeat against court orders, sworn separately & fined 5s. 0d.

And that the orders that were made att the last court holden for this Mannor are by the Jury att this court made void and of none effect.
William WALKER paid one penny per annum for a parcel of waste enclosed near the town pond by agreement with the Lord of the Manor.
And John CHURCH who hold one tenement in Bozeat, late Anthony PILGRIM's at rent of 2s per annum and the same John paid one penny per annum for a wall built upon waste of the Manor by agreement with the Lord of the Manor.
And Richard BERRILL acknowledged himself to hold a tenement late YELVERTONS from the Lord of the Manor at rent of a halfpenny per annum & it was bought by the said Richard from Henry YELVERTON Baronet deceased, relief due 1d. and 8d in payment for rent for 16 years last passed.
And Thomas BLETSOE paid 6d. for a wall built upon waste of the Manor by agreement with the Lord of the Manor.
