Higham Ferrers Borough Records
Settlements 1619-1643

This is a small bundle of documents detailing people coming into the Borough and those who gave surety that no relief costs would fall to the Borough if they were unable to keep themselves, and the fate of two children of George West deceased. Names of Borough officials who agreed to the settlements and witnesses who signed the documents are all listed here.

According to the Parish Register George West’s wife Elizabeth had died in 1617 leaving him with 4 children. A further baptism and burial is in November 1619
