Outside Higham Ferrers Co-op – Wharf Road shop is a fine display is of metal polish, boot polish and soap. Probably for a carnival parade.

The shop window posters advertise a Co-op Society Grand Fete, Sports & Meat Tea
The cycles were decorated as entries for the Cycle Parade on 8th September 1911
and they won first prize in the Tradesmen's Section.

1960s Co-op grocery built where the old toll house once stood, next to Chichele's birth place, and facing Northampton Road.
