Cycling - For the third time this season Dobbs and Steward, of the Nene Valley Wheelers, carried away between them on Sunday morning all four prizes in an event. On Sunday it was in the first of this season’s 50’s for the Carress Trophy.

Steward won both the first fastest and first handicap awards and Dobbs won both the second prizes. This was the first time that Dobbs had attempted a 50, so his time of 2hours 28 mins. 53 secs. was a good effort.

The club run attracted 17 members, the route taken being Bozeat, Olney, Emberton, Sherington, North Crawley to Cranfield where tea was taken. The return jouney was by way of Lower Shelton, Kempston, Bromham, Stevington, Carlton, Harrold, Hinwick and Irchester.
