Raunds Soldier Killed - Pte. G B Flavell, of the Canadians
Mr and Mrs J Flavell, of Marshall’s-road, Raunds, have received news that their son, Private George B Flavell, aged 27, has been killed in action. Pte. Flavell had been in Canada nine years, previous to which he worked for Messrs Coggins. He came over with the Canadians last November, was at Raunds in the early part of last June, and went out the same month, going into the trenches on June 21st. Mr and Mrs Flavell have another son, Ernest (22 years of age), who is also in the Canadians, and belongs to the same Company as his brother. They both went into the trenches on the same day, Ernest getting wounded on the second day, and his brother helping him back.
