In the Name of God Amen I John Dix of the Parish Yeilding in the County of Bedford Husbandman being sick in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praise therefore be given to Almighty God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament
First I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping for a free pardon of all my sins through the merits of my blessed Saviour and my Body I commit to the Earth to be Buried at the charge of my Executrix hereafter named and as for my temporal Good I give as followeth.
First I give to my Son William Dix one shilling
Itm I give to my Son Arter Dix one shilling
All the rest of my Personal Estate whatsoever I give unto my loving Wife Elizabeth Dix whom I make full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and in Confirmation that this is my last Will and Testament I have set my Hand and Seal this Fourth day of May one Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Six
