"Blue Windows" - Marjorie Chamberlain
Fine China
Knight & Son - James Knight was a watchmaker and jeweller at 22 High Street and then expanded into the next shop with furniture. His son Arthur joined the business, eventually taking over the furniture department, and later his brother Geoffrey also joined and took over the jewellers.

"Blue Windows" opened as a fine china shop at 132 High Street, managed by Geoff’s wife May Knight. Moved to 35 High Street about 1958, and closed in 1967. As a member of the Operatic Society the shop advertised in the society's programmes.

Marjorie Chamberlain took over the shop, having been trading in antiques and gifts at Finedon, now with two stores added china to the range. Marjorie also advertised in the Operatic Society's programmes for their shows. The shop continued at least into the mid 1970s, and perhaps beyond.
