Court Estate residents petitioned the postal authorities to erect a pillar-box at the Newton-road end of Court Avenue, to save a walk of a mile each way to post letters. A reply has now been received, stating that the request has been granted and that the permission of the Local Authority is being sought for the erection of the pillar-box.
