D Day 80
Commemoration 2024

In June 2024 80 years since D Day was commemorated with a service at the memorial garden on the Green, opposite Rushden Church.

A group of knitters had been asked if they might help to create a scene to depict the D Day landings, and duly worked through the early months of 2024 to complete it. Some of the knitters are also responsible for the displays that are added to post boxes, often at Christmas, and at Easter.
