Rushden Echo, 11th June 1909, transcribed by Kay Collins
AccidentHenry Packwood, an employee of Mr. A. T. Nichols, plumber, Rushden, met with an accident last Friday while following his employment in connection with the erection of the new buildings for the C.W.S. Packwood was climbing a trestle which was standing on uneven ground, with the result that the trestle overturned and he was precipitated to the floor, falling about eight feet. Although he was severely shaken and was unconscious for nearly half-an-hour his injuries are fortunately not serious, amounting only to a sprained knee and some bruises.
