RUSHDEN
Our football team met Northampton Boot Works, at Northampton, on November 3rd, In the second round of the C.W.S. Cup Competition, and were beaten to the tune of seven goals to one. It was a good match, and a sportsmanlike game. The referee did not find it necessary to blow his whistle, even on a single occasion, for a foul. Undoubtedly, the best team won, and we wish Northampton higher rungs of the ladder.
Armistice Day
As has been our custom in previous years, the works were represented at the Armistice service by two of our ex-Servicemen. The usual wreath of Flanders poppies was placed on the memorial.
The sale of poppies at the works amounted to £9. 10s. 3d.
