Special Prayers

For our Armed Forces
O Lord God of Hosts, stretch forth, we pray Thee, Thine Almighty Arm to strengthen and protect the sailors, soldiers and airmen of the King in every peril of sea, land and air; give them victory in the day of battle, and in the time of peace, keep them safe from all evil; endue them with loyalty and courage; and grant that in all things they may serve as seeing Thee Who art invisible; through Jesus Christ our Lord — Amen.

For Ourselves
O Saviour of the world, who by Thy Cross and precious Blood has redeemed us. Save us and help us we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord.

For all in trouble and distress
Almighty God, Who lookest down in Fatherly love upon all who suffer, we beseech Thee to hear our humble prayers for the wounded, the sick and the dying : give to them Thy help in spirit and body according to their need; sanctify and cheer them and, if it be Thy Will, restore them. Regard with Thy tender compassion the anxious and bereaved; grant them comfort and peace in Thee. Uphold with Thy strength and grace those who tend the sick, and those who minister to the distressed; and may all, both them and us, learn the lessons of Thy Fatherly discipline : through Jesus Christ our Lord — Amen.

the Church on Tuesdays at 3 p.m.
