James Nichols
of Bozeat, lacemaker and teacher

A note added to the page in the parish register of deaths, records his death, aged 77, on the 5th February 1883. He must have been born about 1805/6.

James Nichols later kept a lace schoool at Bozeat, when the trade was good.

He made lace himself until a short time before his death, and some was sold to Mrs Sartoris of Rushden Hall.
