"Fanciers Cottage" on the lintel, would indicate that the occupier may have kept pigeons. Thomas was the owner of the property in 1910.

In 1891 Mr. Thomas Lack lived here with his wife and twelve children. Thomas advertised in Kelly’s Directory 1898 and 1903 as a boot maker and brewers' agent, and in 1910 he is a shopkeeper, and owned the property.

His wife Rosetta (nee Warren) died in 1928 and Thomas had moved to North Street when he died in 1932.

In 1914 Robert Bailey had taken the property. After he died his widow Ada took over the business but soon left.

Frank Chapman was next in this property in 1931-1936.

He was followed by Eric Richardson.
