In 1981 Alchemy and Sound & Video followed Libby trading from this store. Here you could hire a video film to watch at home instead of going to the cinema. The Ritz was about to close, the Royal Theatre had closed 20 years earlier, and the Palace was long gone.

In this view of Church Street, Alchemy Sound & Video (left) and pposite on the corner of Alfred Street is the Salvation Army Charity shop.

More recently it was part of SERVE, and has now been reverted to three little cottages. See Church Street.

The building at 15/17 Church was taken over by SERVE in 1990 who also took over 19 Church Street.
