Patients at Rushden Hospital's Colton Ward received a special harvest festival present from the children of the town's Newton Road Infants' School.
A group of 10 pupils staged a short play for five mentally handicapped youngsters in the ward.
The 45-minute production was under the direction of head-mistress Mrs Jacqui Neal.
The infants also presented Staff Nurse Sue Mayes and her staff with fruit and other produce.
