Lucky bonus for youngsters

A lucky dip for visitors to Rushden Cavalcade produced a happy spin-off for severely handicapped youngsters.

The £80 raised from the lucky dip at County Line's stand at the cavalcade of historical transport in Hall Park has been presented to Rushden Hospital's Colton Ward, which caters for disabled children.

Children of staff at the vehicle services firm who manned the stall visited the hospital ward to hand over the proceeds personally. The money will be used to provide extra amenities for the patients.
