Learning to care

Youngsters at a Rushden infants school learned about the care of severely handicapped children when they donated £50 from carol service collections to the town hospital's Colton Ward.

Nursing assistant at the ward Jean Watson spoke to pupils at Rushden Newton Road Infant School about the work of the unit.

The £50 was collected after two carol services at the school. It will be used to buy toys and equipment for use in the ward.
