Runner's gift to Colton Ward

Two runners who completed the London marathon in four hours and 23 minutes presented their sponsorship money.

Staff at Rushden Hospital’s Colton Ward received a cheque for £366.05 from Sue Newton and Maureen Travill, to add to the £14,000 raised for the swimming pool appeal.

Sue and Maureen were in training for six months to ensure they were fit enough.

Sue, of High Street, Irchester and Maureen of Woodlands Road, Irchester, collected hundreds of sponsors between them.
