The Colton Ward at Rushden Hospital has benefited to the tune of £71 – thanks to the efforts of Rushden, Higham and Irchester AC.

The club – always keen to help those in need – raised the money by holding a sponsored fishing competition on the Ouse at Harrold, and it will be used to buy the children a few little extras.

Staff at the hospital are currently trying to raise £17,000 for a hydrotherapy swimming pool, and at the moment are about halfway towards their target.
