After his retirement Jack Harrison ran a boxing club based at the Windmill Club where he had his own chair and beer mug. He was well liked and respected by the local community and even when he was 80 years of age would walk 20 miles a day.

The Windmill Club, Rushden, have the honour of being the first club in the town to send enough men to form a section. We understand great efforts are being made for a Pal’s Section in Irthlingborough for the 8th Northants.
