Mrs Frost and her husband, both 83, met at the National School in High Street South, Rushden, as junior school pupils more than 70 years ago.

They have been inseparable ever since and worked together for many years at James Hyde's shoe firm in Glassbrook Road, Rushden.

Mr and Mrs Frost, who now live in Wellingborough Road, Rushden, have one son.

Mrs Frost said: "We've been very happy together for all these years. Obviously we've had our ups and downs, but a lot of give and take has kept us together."

Mrs Frost's hobby is playing the organ.
