Rushden Echo, 28th April 1922, transcribed by Kay Collins
Miss Ellen Ginns

Congratulations to Miss Ellen Ginns, of 8 High-street South, Rushden, on gaining a fourth prize in the professional section of the Old Bleach £1,000 Needlework Competition, open to the world. Miss Ginns, who sent in a tea cloth, has received a diploma and a box of one dozen Old Bleach towels. A few years ago Miss Ginns secured the sixth prize in the Manchester School of Embroidery, this, too, being an open contest.

Note: Ellen trained in the 1890s at South End School and taught there.
