Mr and Mrs Reg Kendall, who have lived in Queen Street, Rushden, ever since their marriage 50 years ago, celebrated their golden wedding with a family party at the Queen Victoria Hotel, Rushden, on Saturday.
Mr Kendall, who is 72, was born at Rushden and worked for the Co-operative Wholesale Society’s boot and shoe factory for almost 20 years.
The couple then moved to an off-licence and general stores, which they took charge of for thirty years. It is now the King Edward Public House in Queen Street.
Mrs Kendall is 71. The couple have three children.
