Eric also wrote an article about the Bayes Family.

While serving in the FAA at RNAS Evanton during 1946, I saw on two occasions, a Sunderland being deliberately sunk in the mouth of Cromarty Firth, roughly opposite the mouth of the River Alness - the RAF Sunderland base was at Alness. Have these aircraft been salvaged? |
Eric died in 2014.
