Miss Flossie Simpson

THE COMING-OF-AGE of Miss Flossie Simpson, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Simpson of 22, High-street South, Rushden, was celebrated on Tuesday. A large party of guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Simpson, and although attractive arrangements for out-door festivities on the lawn and in the garden had to be abandoned owing to the wet and cold weather, the members had a very enjoyable time in-doors. A sumptuous tea was served, after which games were played and songs were contributed by the Misses Long (2) and D. Cunnington, Messrs. C. Parker, W. Ayres, A. Wilkins and F. Wilkins, junr. Miss Hilda Woolley and Mr. W. F. Tassell were the accompanists, the latter also giving pianoforte selections. A number of orchestral items were rendered by Miss F. Simpson (piano), Miss R. Simpson (mandolin) and Mr. O. Parker (violin). A happy, gathering broke up in the early hours. Miss F. Simpson received many handsome and costly gifts.
