Lieut. (Acting Captain) R. A. Marriott

The Military Cross has been awarded to Lieut. (Acting Captain) R. A. Marriott, of the Northants Regiment. An official record says that he led his company with great dash and gallantry to the capture of two redoubts, and although wounded he remained at his post and successfully withdrew his company when it was in danger of being surrounded. He is the son of Mr. Robert Marriott, builder and contractor, of Rushden.
