In the name of God Amen I Thomas Brittaine of the parish of St James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex Charcoal man, being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory (praise be given Allmighty God for the same) Doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following revaoking adnulling and by these presents makeing utterly null and voyd all and all manner of former and other Will or Wills guifts or bequeaths before by me Willed given or bequeathed either in Writing or by word of Mouth and I doe declare this and none other to be my last will and Testament And first and principally I commit and commend my Soul into the hands of Allmighty God who gave it me earnestly beging pardon of all my Sinns being truely penitent and Sorrowful! for the same, And my body I leave to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named hopeing and stedfastly believeing to have and receive the free pardon and remission all my Sinns in and through the alone merits of myne blessed redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ And as touching what worldly estate it hath pleased God to blesse me with in this life (after my debts and funerall charges are fully payed and satisfied) I will give and dispose of the same in manner following that is to say if my wife Ellinor Brittaine can spare it I wold give unto my Cozine Elizabeth Law the summ of five pounds the payment of which I leave to the discretion of my wife Item I doe give unto her sister Mary Law now wife of George Ince One shilling in full of claimes and demands they or any of them may have or pretend to have to any part of my estate, Item all other my estate ready money debts goods and chattells whatsoever or wheresoever, I doe give and bequeath unto my dear and loveing wife Ellinor Brittaine, And I doe hereby make and ordaine my said loveing wife Ellinor Brittaine full whole and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In witnesse whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the Twentie and second <second> day of September Anno Domini 1714 in the first yeare of the Reigne of our Soveraigne Lord George by the Grace of God of Great Brittaine France and Ireland King defender of the Faith etc
