Rushden Echo, 28th December 1928, transcribed by Kay Collins

Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson

Obituary—At the great age of 80 years, the death occurred early on Christmas Day, at her residence in Roberts-street, of Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson, wife of Mr. Eli Robinson. The only children are Messrs Walter, George Edward, Roland, and Sydney Robinson, who founded the firms of Messrs. Robinson Bros. and the Allen Boot Company, boot manufacturers, Rushden.

Mrs. E. Robinson was a sister of the late Mr. George Willmott, farmer, Fitzwilliam-street and Wellingborough-road, Rushden. She was a native of the town. Mrs. Robinson had been a member of St. Mary’s Church. Although in failing health for the past three months, she was able to get up a little until towards the end. She was under the skilled care of Dr. R. W. Davies.

This afternoon the funeral took place at St. Mary’s Church and the cemetery, the Rev. G. Hatt Lipscomb (Curate-in-charge) officiating. The funeral arrangements were made by Messrs. Whittington and Tomlin.
