pre Demolition 1984-1985
The Old Cave's Factory - taken over by Eaton's
was about to be demolished.

The first 3 photos are of the north end of the site, of the canteen where workers could get good wholesome dinners.

The Commonwealth Sports & Social Club also met in this building, with the sports ground adjoining. Access was from Duck Street, and also led to the rear of the factory.

When it was no longer used for the workers, it came into use as a canteen for pupils of Alfred Street Schools.

In 1985 the area was for car parking, Bejam and Budgens.
